Mother Blessing Ceremony
Inspired by a traditional Navajo ceremony called the Blessingway, a Mother Blessing 
is a celebration of new life; to honour and hold the mother-to-be as she walks the threshold between seasons of womanhood.
What is a Mother Blessing?
The ‘Mother’ archetype refers to the phase of a woman’s life after entering motherhood or birthing herself as a powerful woman (eg. late twenties). The Mother archetype is focused on nurturing, creativity, fertility and love. She is in full bloom and has reached a time of expansion in both her inner and outer worlds, allowing her the ability to radiate and receive loving energy harmoniously.
A ‘Mother Blessing’ is a sacred ceremony that honours a pregnant woman’s rite of passage as she transitions from maiden to mother, or mother again. Unlike a baby shower, which is primarily focused on the impending arrival of the infant, a Mother Blessing is about celebrating the woman-of-honours journey to motherhood.
Soul sisters come together to hold space for the mother-to-be, showering her with love and support, to give her strength as she embarks on this life-changing journey. There is deep medicine in sitting in circle with your sisters. It’s the soul work that our ancestral lineage passed down to us to heal our Earth Mother and ourselves.
The structure of a Mother Blessing Ceremony
Each Mother Blessing Ceremony is tailored to the specific and individual needs of the sister I serve. As a guide, below is a structure of how a Mother Blessing Ceremony will flow:
- “Beginning” – the sacred space will be “opened” by inviting each attendee to call themself present in the circle, to acknowledge their full devoted attention to the mother-to-be.
- “Shifting” – the facilitator will state the purpose of coming together. Each attendee will introduce themself, to connect as a group, and set their intention for sitting in circle, to help the mother-to-be embrace the gifts of blessings, prayers and honour the group will bestow upon her.
- “Focusing” – the mother-to-be will be pampered with love and empowering energy, through ritual activities and encouraging stories shared to guide her on her journey ahead.
- “Completing” – the circle will be completed with the chosen craft activities to affirm the work done in circle, send our good intentions into the world, and weave a web of connection for the mother-to-be beyond the day of ceremony.
- “Feasting” – the ceremony is concluded by sharing food together to help ground everyone’s energy and shift from a sacred space back to a social space
Make a Booking
Danu Mother Blessing
Danu is the Celtic mother goddess associated with fertility, abundance, and wisdom. I offer two options for the ‘Danu’ Mother Blessing Ceremony.
Basic Ceremony
A sweet and simple ceremony for those who are wanting to nurture this precious time before crossing the threshold to mother. This ceremony:
- Organisation of your blessing, including event outline and invitations;
- Facilitation of the blessing [roughly 3 hours] at your chosen location*;
- Craft activity of your choosing;
- Creation of a meal train for attendees to support you in the early postpartum.
We will spend roughly 3 hours in ceremony together.
Location of your choosing. The Basic Blessing will require the hostess to facilitate the set up and packdown of the ceremony space. If you want the blessing to be organised by me from beginning to end, the Deluxe Blessing is for you.
The energetic exchange for the Basic Danu ceremony is $444+GST*.

Deluxe Ceremony
A decadent red-tent styled ceremony, for those who are wanting a hands-off experience as they prepare to welcome their womb-mate earthside. This ceremony:
- Organisation of your blessing, including event outline and invitations;
- Set up and pack down of the ceremonial space, including use of my boho bell tent and library of devotional items eg. cushions, rugs, crystals, candles;
- Cacao or rose tea ceremony to open the heart chakra;
- Facilitation of the blessing [roughly 3 hours] at your chosen location*;
- Craft activity of your choosing;
- Creation of a meal train for attendees to support you in the early postpartum.
We will spend roughly 3 hours in ceremony together.
Location of your choosing, includes set up and packdown of the ceremony space.
The energetic exchange for the Deluxe Danu ceremony is $666+GST*.

Brigid Maiden Blessing
Blessings are a way to honour all rites of passage on our life journey as women. If you’re looking to celebrate a transformative time in your life, then the ‘Maiden Blessing’ is for you. I offer two options for the Maiden Blessing Ceremony.
Maiden Blessing
The ‘Maiden’ archetype refers to the phase of a woman’s life from her menarche (first moon) through her transformative early years of womanhood, on the journey to the mother archetype (or late twenties). The Maiden is all about enchantment and new beginnings, youthful ideas and enthusiasm. The Maiden phase is a period of exploration, discovery, self-expression, and creativity in a young woman’s life. A time to learn who she is and celebrate her beauty along the way.
A ‘Maiden Blessing’ is a beautiful way to honour a special occasion, by harnessing the potent magic of circle medicine and sisterhood. A maiden blessing is an opportunity to be witnessed during your transformation and give thanks to the amazing woman you are becoming.
Brigid is the Celtic goddess associated with Spring, fertility and life. The Brigid blessing is a beautiful circle style ceremony, where women come together to hold space for the sister-of-honour and bestow love and blessings to mark her momentous life event.
Life phases that might call for the honouring of a Brigid Blessing ceremony:
- Menarche (first menstrual bleed) ‘red tent’ blessing;
- Birthday blessing (eg. 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th etc);
- Bridal Blessing;
- Or a big life change such as moving out of home, starting your dream career etc.
Or at any point in your life where you are feeling called to open the portal for growth, transformation and the receiving of love and support from sisters.
Just like the Danu Mother Blessing, the Brigid Maiden Blessing can be facilitated as a Basic or Deluxe Ceremony. If you’re looking for something customised don’t hesitate to get in contact.
