Pelvic Care
The ‘Pelvic Care Ceremony’ is an opportunity for you to come home to your feminine centre.
What is Pelvic Care?
In a supportive and respectful space, you will receive gentle, intentional touch to guide your pelvic tissues back to a state of harmony. Giving your pelvic tissues the love and care they’re calling for allows your body to melt back into a place of balance, freedom, flow, and pleasure.
The Pelvic Care Ceremony is intended to support you during any stage of your life – from menarche to menopause. These therapeutic sessions are for you if you are seeking to provide your pelvic space with tender care and attention, while relieving tension, trauma, congestion and stored emotions.
The Pelvic Care Ceremony involves a practice known as ‘internal pelvic release’, which is a hand-on therapeutic technique utilised to address tension, dysfunction and pain in the muscles, ligaments and supportive tissues within the pelvic bowl. During internal pelvic release, gentle manual pressure is applied through the intravaginal tissues to allow a ‘sigh’ or ‘release’ of unwanted tension within the pelvic bowl.
Times when you may seek Pelvic Care:
- If you are experiencing menstrual cycle concerns and want to support your womb into optimal alignment;
- During the preconception phase to invite flow and pleasure in preparation for conception;
- Following an early birth (miscarriage) or termination/abortion to release any heavy emotions, sadness, grief or anger;
- During pregnancy (after 24 weeks) to ease pelvic discomfort/pain or bring back harmony within the changing and evolving pelvis;
- In preparation for labour and birth to support the intravaginal tissues as they get ready for their big stretch;
- During the early postpartum to provide nourishing, gentle touch to the healing tissues;
- After a significant life event eg. a breakup/divorce, death of a loved one to release stored trauma and support the body to move through grief;
- Following a physical injury to the abdomen, pelvic or hips eg. a fall, post surgery;
- Or at any point in your life where you are feeling called to explore and provide nourishing touch to the tissues of your pelvis.
Physical and emotional manifestations that can be calling for Pelvic Care (but are not limited to):
- Pain within the pelvic tissues, lower back or hip region;
- Uterine prolapse or heaviness in the womb, bladder or bowel;
- Irregular, heavy or painful bleeds;
- Fertility and hormone related issues such as recurrent early birth (miscarriage), PCOS, Endometriosis, uterine fibroids, low/lacklustre libido or sexual desire;
- Chronic bladder or pelvic infections;
- Pain/discomfort or lack of sensation/numbness during sex or self pleasure;
- Urinary or faecal incontinence or dysfunction;
- Shame or disconnection from your pelvic space from social conditioning, sexual trauma or abuse or previous pregnancy terminations/abortions.
Reported benefits from receiving Pelvic Care:
- Release of tension and pain from your pelvic tissues, sacrum, coccyx, lower back and hips;
- Increased sensation and pleasure within the pelvic tissues;
- Deeper understanding of your pelvic space and its innate power;
- Increased sense of freedom and flow within the pelvic bowl and surrounding structures;
- Most importantly – connection to yourself, your womb, your whole pelvic bowl and the collective feminine energy.

Pelvic Care Ceremony
Each Pelvic Care Ceremony is tailored to the specific and individual needs of the sister I serve. As a general guide, below is a structure of how the Pelvic Care Ceremony will flow:
- Herbal tea to relax the nervous system/support you to share your story and set an intention for the ceremony;
- Brief sharing of what is involved with Pelvic Care work and the anatomy I will be guided by and holding space for during the session;
- Guided meditation to help you drop into your body and connect with your intention;
- Yoni steam* with intuitively chosen herbs to promote an increase of blood flow and lubrication to the intravaginal tissues, which increases comfort during the session (*not suitable for sisters who are pregnant, actively bleeding or have an IUD);
- Various body work practices guided by your physical and emotional state at the time of the ceremony;
- Internal Pelvic techniques if and when your body is ready to receive – this is completely guided by you;
- Opportunity to journal your experience (if you feel called);
- Time to debrief anything that has come up in ceremony that you would like to further explore – over another cup of herbal tea and something sweet.
We will spend roughly 2 hours together in-ceremony. You will also receive aftercare herbs to take home with you to further nourish your tissues*, and a follow up message to check in within 48 hours of your session.
These sessions will be available at both ‘The Womb Room’ Grange (North Brisbane), and ‘The Nest’ Mooloolah Valley (Sunshine Coast).
The energetic exchange will be $222 at the Grange clinic, and $250 at the Mooloolah Valley clinic.
Please note that if we have not yet worked together, I strongly recommend that you first experience a Womb Care Ceremony or one of my other bodywork offerings, in order for us to connect, get to know each other and allow your body to build trust with my presence and touch.
Pelvic Care is deeply intimate and requires a level of vulnerability and trust that is often hard to establish in the first session together. In special circumstances where time is of the essence, I am happy to chat with you and arrange a double session to give you body, heart and soul time to build trust and familiarity required for healing and transformation. Please don’t hesitate to send me a message to chat about what your body is calling for.
PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING: It is with gratitude that I ask you to complete my Bodywork Client Intake Form at least 48hrs prior to your session. I also ask that you wear comfortable, loose clothing to your session.
**When booking, please note that bookings for The Nest Mooloolah Valley are only available on Thursdays and every second Tuesday (1st & 3rd of month). All other appointment times listed will be for The Womb Room Grange.
